Abstract

In archaeological teaching and practice, excavation handbooks have played an specific role as a formative bibliography. The aim of this work is to compare six manuals, to demonstrate they constitute operative instruments destined to help in the professional practice. Imbued with theory and in an integral act of teaching, they define a good practice: a correctly done excavation, to avoid losing archaeological information.
