Abstract

The vestiges of the Fort or Fort of the town of Achiras (Department of Río Cuarto, Province of Córdoba, Argentina) are examined in order to discuss the necessary dimensions of the records studied by Historical Archaeology, particularly that of the State as a formator of its existence. They constitute the historical materiality of State power, in the way of life that it imposes and in its own regime of truth.
